Tips for Finding Reference Entries

Many reference Entries on Indigenous topics are in multiple disciplines. An easy way to access a reference entry on Indigenous topics is to use keywords and or phrases in the library's search box.

Example: "Indigenous Health", "Indigenous Business", Mi'kmaq, "First Nation", Aboriginal, etc.

Once you've picked your keywords and/or phrases and searched them on the Library's database click on the filter option "Resource Type" on the left side of the screen and select "Reference Entries". This will narrow down your search results.

As seen below, if you search "Indigenous health" on the library's database it will give you 7,011 results, but when you select the Resource Type "Reference Entries" it limits your results to 10.
