Library Computers

All computers on the first floor of the Library are available for use. The Library Instruction Lab (L 150) computers may also be used, providing no instruction sessions are happening. The Lab computers have additional software such as SPSS.

The Library Instruction Lab computers require students to login. All other computers are public access.

Adding Money to Your myCBUcard

If you do not have enough print credits, money can be added to your account by:

  • Visit the Circulation Desk (cash, debit or credit)
  • Use the ICT Machine (cash only)
  • Click the myCBUcard icon on the computer’s desktop (credit only)
  • Visit https://mycbucard.cbu.ca/login.aspx (credit only)

Printing for Non Students

Users who do not have student accounts can purchase a Guest Card for $5.00.

This includes an initial one-time charge of $3.00 for the card and will give you a $2.00 card balance on your account. You can add money to your card during regular Library Hours by using cash at the Smart Card Dispenser near the Circulation Desk in the Library.

The username and password required to print are located on the back of Guest Card.
The username is G followed by the 6 digit number located on the back of the card (top right). Example G123456.

Scratch the rectangle on the back of the card (bottom right)to reveal the password (PIN).To add money to the card, you can use the Smart Card dispenser located near the Circulation Desk or click HERE for web payment (choose guest)

Printing, Photocopying and Scanning

The Library has four printers/photocopiers/scanners, located on the first floor.

Printing & Photocopying costs 10 cents for black & white and 50 cents for colour. Scanning costs 5 cents/page.

A valid myCBUcard will be required to access printers/photocopiers/scanners at the CBU Library. Click HERE to add money to your account. Parents can add money by logging into the 'Parent' section.

Printing

Step 1: When you are ready to print, open your document, click file and select print.

Step 2: Select a printer to send your document to:

  • KM4700 Universal
  • Colour printing: use printer Library Konica Colour and pick up at Circulation Desk.

Step 3: Click Print.

Step 4: Enter your username and password in the popup box that appears on the screen and click ok.

  •    Username: Beginning of Your CBU E-mail (cbu12abc)
  •    Password: Your Date of Birth (YY/MM/DD)

Step 5: Proceed to your selected printer and tap your myCBUcard on the small black box or manually log in to access  your account. Your print job(s) will be displayed on the screen.

Step 6: Select which document(s) that you want to print and click print.

Step 7: Log out of your account.

Printing from your personal devices

  •  Go to  https://webprint.cbu.ca and login using your CBU account. 
  • Click Web Print. 
  • Click on Submit job and follow the on screen instruction to upload your document.
    • Select the printer  KM4700 Universal OR
    • Konica Minolta Universal (photocopiers located in the main area of the library)
    • Colour printing: use printer Library Konica Colour and pick up at Circulation Desk.
  • Follow prompts on screen and upload the file(s) you want to print.
  • Click 'Upload and complete'
  • proceed to the printers and tap your CBU card or manually login to access your account. The print jobs should be displayed on the screen to select and print. (colour prints need to go to circ desk to pickup).

Photocopying and Scanning

How to Photocopy and Scan

Proceed to the Konica Minolta copiers located in the center of the library and tap your myCBUcard. If you do not have any print jobs in the queue the machine will default to the photocopier menu. To scan, press the fax/scan button to access the scanning menu. If you do not have enough credits follow Step 3 above.

Scanning from your phone

1. Download the Microsoft Lens App on your phone (free)                  

2. Take a picture of the document(s) you want to scan.

3. It will ask for a login, use your @cbu email to login to your Microsoft account.

4. Save your documents to OneDrive, your phone, email, etc.
