Logging Into Your Library Account

My Library Account

As of May 17, 2022, CBU Students, Staff, and Faculty members can use their  Microsoft account login to access 'my library account'.

You can find out what books you have borrowed from the library, and their due dates or renew books online by logging into your library account (Novanet). You can also use this login to request items from other libraries.

Cape Breton University Library is part of Novanet – The academic libraries network in Nova Scotia (Plus Mount Allison University in NB).

Your username and password are the same as your CBU email credentials

For Community Borrower (Off-Campus Borrower), click "Other users" menu and log in with your barcode number on your Novanet OCB card as ID and click login. And then the website redirects to reset your password.

Logging into ILL to Borrow From Other Libraries

Log in for ILL (Also Known As Document Delivery)

If you can't find material within Novanet, no worries. You can request material free of charge. To use this service, you can log in with the following information.

Your username is the barcode number (29377...) on the backside of your myCBUcard.
Your password is your surname.
