Before using a website as a resource, evaluate it using the five CRAAP Principles:

  1. Currency: timeliness of the information
  2. Relevance: importance of the information for your needs
  3. Authority: the source of the information
  4. Accuracy: the reliability, truthfulness, and correctness of content
  5. Purpose: why was the website developed and for whom?
