How to use the Content Creation Studio

Podcasting, Youtube and more!

  • Patrons can easily create Podcasts! The studio is equipped to produce audio-only podcasts or full audio / video productions.
  • Digital course delivery is a perfect match for the Studio. Faculty can stand out with top-quality productions.
  • The space is ideal for interviews - especially one-on-one, news/documentary style of interviews.
  • This studio is perfect for a Youtube channel, whether that is a single “talking head” format or up to a multi-person conversation style.

What should I bring to the Content Creation Studio?

  • Speaking, especially for extended amounts of time often leads to dry feeling mouth - so as a reminder, it’s best to prepare by having a bottle of water - but use caution around the Studio equipment.
  • Audio recording can be an imperfect process. One style of podcast is to leave any and all blunders in the content - creating a very natural off-the-cuff feel for the audience. Another way is to correct blunders by retaking portions of the recording. To make editing this type easier, we advise using an audio cue to identify start and stop sections…this can be as simple as a hand clap, a slight whistle or other sound that stands out among the voices being recorded.
  • Patrons are advised to bring a USB “thumb” drive with them for use of the One-Button Studio, or to copy files from the larger, high quality 6k DJI camera which takes a special type of memory card to record (recommended 128GB or larger).
  • Also required for audio recording, is a standard size SD Card (32GB Max size) - to be inserted into the Zoom P4 Podcast recorder.
