Nursing: Statistics

Resources for students and faculty

Why are statistics valued?

"Quantitative research has been instrumental in providing data for over half a century to inform nursing policy, practice, and education. It remains a potent research approach to many of the problems, issues and concerns facing nurses and health professionals. It is still the favoured approach for those who provide funding for health research and it has been provided with a boost by the recent introduction of evidence based practice."
